Enright StenTel transcription services can be accurately described as a Business Process Outsourcing Company that operate using the agency business model. 

The work that they undertake gets brought to them by their clients which can be a variety of law firms, insurance companies or medical companies. 

This work then gets outsourced to their team of highly qualified transcriptionists who process the work to a high standard before returning it to the company for a series of quality control checks. 

The final stage is to return the completed document and/or transcribed file to the client for approval and acceptance. 

What Is The Work Like?

The work as a transcriber can be very interesting, varied and stimulating and at the same time very boring!. 

If you are not "into" the subject matter or the topic or if your assignment is of a very dry and uninteresting it can be a bit of a drag...pause...type...play..pause..type..play... endless loop!. 

The work can be very educational, if you are interested in what you are transcribing and get many files and assignments of that nature then I think it would be difficult not to learn something new as you are processing the work. 

It is advised by many seasoned remote transcriptionists to vary up your work when and if you can to keep your mind from falling into that cycle of boredom. 

There is no mention anywhere on their website or career's page of any set working hours. As a freelance transcriptionists or independent contractor you will be likely be able to set your own working hours. 

However, 

having noted their fast 24 hour turnaround time I expect a lot of their work will come in during regular office hours meaning you will have to be sharp during those hours to pick up the work. 

Each assignment that you take on will have a deadline attached to it that you must meet. 

There is no information stated on their website regarding how pay is calculated, per audio minute, per line of text, per page typed or per word transcribed. 

The rate of pay will vary from job to job and it is possible that the method used to calculate pay will also vary. 

I have seen on Glassdoor that the rate of pay for transcriptionists varies from US$11 to US$17 per hour. 

There is no information available how you will be paid and how often - bimonthly, monthly, or weekly. 

Due to the size of the company I suspect you will be paid by direct deposit to your bank account. 

Your guess is as good as mine! 

There is no indication on their site that they use US based transcriptionists, or that they don't outsource overseas. I can only happily assume that they do indeed hire internationally.

However, 

Do not be surprised if they do hire US residents only, as this is very common in this industry. 

If a work from home job interests you, do your homework and dig around, do your background checks into the company. 

One place I always check out is the Better Business Bureau. 

Unfortunately, there is no listing for Enright StenTel Transcription Services on the BBB database. 

Their default rating is unaccredited and not rated. 

In this section I really like to give you the low down into what it is like work with a company from an employee perspective. 

On Glassdoor they are rated very averagely at 3.2 with only 50% recommending a friend to work there. 

On Indeed they are not so well rated at 2.6. 

There are a few things that I like about Enright StenTel Jobs which are: 

• Super simple application process!. 
• They have at least 3 different jobs on offer. 
• Enright StenTel are an established company. 
• Genuine Work At Home Opportunity.  

There are a few things that I did not like about Enright StenTel Jobs. 

• Not Accredited by the BBB or even listed!.  
• No mention regarding pay at all. 
• No indication in regards to the work flow or regularity of work.  

Yes, 

As I dug around the rate of pay for StenTel Jobs is in the US$11 to US$17 range. This figure varied widely due various factors including job title and how quickly you can get the job done. 

In my opinion Enright StenTel is not a scam. 

I have been unable to uncover and information or any dirt regarding not paying independent contractors or anything like that at all. 

It is hard to decide if Enright StenTel Transcription Services are worth working for and thus applying as there is a distinct lack of information out with the corporate and service details that are on their website. 

A better and more detailed careers page giving at least some information about the jobs available and what they are looking for, for each position...and information about salary, and when and how you will be paid. 

Definitely a foot on the breaks here, edge forwards if you must, but with caution!.
