Crowdsurf function using the agency business model where the you encounter in their site is from 3rd party users and clients of theirs. Effectively they are a middle man between you and gaining a lot work for them as a transcriber.
Sites like this are very advantageous where they save you from hunting for work and your clients on sites like Upwork and Fiverr and allowing you to have more time performing income producing activities.
What Is The Work Like?
When you get started with Crowdsurf work you are considered as an entry level transcriptionist. You need to keep working and keep producing good high quality transcripts to get more work from clients on the site.
It is expected that you complete the work quickly and free from errors.
The turnaround time varies for each job varies, you are expected to meet it - otherwise don't take on the task!.

Their pay can can range for US$0.03 to US$0.20 per minute of video file for short 5 second to 30 second files.
When you have built up experience on their platform you can start to increase the amount earned.
Bonus payments can be US$1.00 for 100 Hits (tasks) completed per week to US$50 for 2,000 tasks completed.
To actual amount to be calculated on an hourly, weekly or monthly rate is very difficult due to the very nature depending on how fast and how often you can work.

You get paid by either direct deposit or to your Paypal account, whichever is most convenient for you.
There appears to be no minimum payout threshold.

The only difficulty that I see is getting the better jobs and a steady work flow from two to four well paying clients.
This is mainly due a high barrier for entry and all the experienced professional transcribers having a strangle hold on all the top jobs.
There is no way around it. You can sit there and cry "oh..poor me!" or you can get off your backside and do something about it and get certified and give yourself a fighting chance of getting some of those well paying jobs.
Evidently, gaining experience once you have taken a certification course is the easy part due to an absolute glut of work available.
Without a doubt in my mind you will be hard pushed to find a better training course online or offline than what is on offer by Transcribe Anywhere.
My Crowdsurf Work Review - The Final Conclusion!
Crowdsurf Work is not a scam, but they are not inspiring me with confidence either!.
Let's put it this way...
If I was on the look out for work as a transcriptionist I would not be tripping over myself to send in a resume to them.
Try many of the other transcription companies and only try these guys if you absolutely must!.
