Is PanelPlace A Scam – Do You Really Need Them?

PanelPlace (PanelPlace.com) founded in 2012 are a Singaporean online marketplace founded by Denniz Kee, who help their users to discover and explore a wide range of new digital products and services by using pull marketing to create brand loyalty and repeat and consistent sales. 

They aid digital and eCom businesses to grow their client base without ever increasing and volatile costs of acquiring clients by matching targeted users with products that they are already interested in or have expressed an interest in. 

Advertisers on their platform only pay when an interested user engages with their platform. 

For you, and what we are interested in is they so happen to have a lot of online survey sites that are on their site as recommendations and thus could lead to opportunities to earn some extra cash. 

Getting started with PanelPlace is very easy just look to the top right of your screen and locate the light green "Sign Up" Button. 

Click it and you will be taken to their registration page Where you will need to select your country and enter your email address. 

After which you will be redirected to a more complete form to fill out, be sent a confirmation email with a special link to click. 

You can also join using their Android App or their iOS app. 

Finally, getting to the juice of it and what you are more interested in earning the green stuff. 

You have up to 6 options when it comes to making money with this platform. Let's talk about each of those one by one. 

1. Online Paid Survey Panels 

There is no denying that these guys could be mistaken as a survey company or a survey website due to working with a lot survey websites like SurveyJunkie.com, InboxDollars.com , Swagbucks.Com. 

But, 

Let's clear one thing is, PanelPlace is not a Survey Company, they are what is called a survey aggregator where there they simply have a list of survey panels and survey company that you can join.

They do not have any surveys of their own they just direct you or point you in the direction of survey sites.

For each of the survey sites you will need to click over and join and register with them. The list that they have does include some good survey sites and some great ones too. 

But, 

their list is not all that extensive. I have in my time and in my Survey category reviewed 300+ survey sites and easily have a much larger and more extensive list if you are looking for a survey company be sure to either use the search facility on this is site or the survey category and get my fairly complete list of survey panels. 

Some of the sites I have seen include Vip Voice, American Consumer Opinion, Survey Voices, which is great to see as they are recommending good legit survey companies. 

One thing to be clear about, you really have no reason to join a site like ths just to get a list of survey sites. You can alternatively just google "Top Survey Site" and get list that way. 

Since you are joining each of the survey websites on their own individually you will need to manage their payment methods and payout threshold for each individual site which can be quite a task and take some time before you can cash out. 

2. Free Contests

This portal and app has regular contests that are free for members and gives to the chance to win US$10. 

Pretty cool, huh!. 

These contests are different from the ones that I usually see on Reward sites and GPT sites as they have quiz or some riddle to solve. 

Each contest normally has 20 winners. To be honest, I find the riddles quite addictive! — I love that sort of thing!. 

Technically speaking your chances of winning US$10 is between 0.5% to 1% or 1 in 100 to 1 in 200 as 20 winners are selected and from what I seen on their site each contest has anything from 2,000 to 4,000 members taking part. 

3. The PanelPlace App

PanelPlace has an app on the Google Play Store and the Apple Store meaning just about everyone can use it on their tablet or smartphone which will help you to make extra money while on the move. 

It seems odd to me that they have their own application when there is no real underlying requirement for it since they are not a survey company with their own surveys.

It is really an app just for the sake of having an app. You can just as easily access their site using safari or chrome browser on your mobile device. 

There is no particularly great need for them to have an app or any advantage as such for you other than ease of access. 

4. Surveys By Email

When joining PanelPlace you will get survey invitation by email which are really just a gentle reminder of the ones that you have yet to join that are on their site. 

You don't get too many of these emails only 2 or 3 per week.

You will also get notified of their free contests and when a new one is starting. 

The email also serve as a newsletter and tell when they have a new blog post that you might be interested in.

5. The PanelPlace Facebook Page

It is very common for an online survey site and aggregator to have a presence on social media and keep their followers and fans informed of updates.

PanelPlace has a Facebook page and is, to be frank, a waste of time and no real reason for you or anyone to follow it or be a fan of it at all as they provide nothing of any value or interest at all.

All they really post is quotes of all sorts from celebrities, authors, sportsmen and women and the odd cat video. 

What cat videos have to do with Panel Place I have no idea!

Very occasionally they will update you and tell you of new surveys available and contests via their Facebook page other than that (which you will get emailed about anyway) its cat videos and quotes!.

6. Their Referral Program 

It is very common for survey sites of all types to have some kind of referral program for members to invite their family and friends to join. 

The referral program here, and they do have one, is that they do not pay you at all for referring your friends to their site which makes it pointless and a complete waste of your time to promote. 

There is no point them having one if they are not going to reward members for using it!

7. Panel Place Learning Opportunities

I am not 100% sure as why or even the legality of PanelPlace and their claims of being a place to learn as they don't have any courses from which you can learn new skills.

What they have is promotional offers for courses in which you can learn something from. There are no free courses and the courses are not on their platform but from 3rd party providers. 

Claiming to be a place to learn is seriously bordering on false advertising in my own opinion and interpretation as this is one thing they are not - a place to learn!. 

In this area and aspect they are paid to promote those courses and earn a commission when you buy or sign up for them. 

You cannot and will not earn anything with PanelPlace, you might be able to win one of their contests and get US$10 here and there but you can't earn on this site at all. 

You can earn because of them and on the multiple survey websites that they recommend.

Your earnings from each site will vary depending on which surveys you qualify for which ones you complete and how active you are.

One thing that is sure you are only going to be able to earn some extra money by taking surveys and not a full time or even a part time income. 

Expect anything from US$10 to US$30 maximum for each site with the average rate of pay working out at around US$1.00 per hour. 

I've reviewed enough survey sites to know that this is about the average income for them all. 

Your contest winnings will be paid by PayPal. 

With each of the individual surveys joints that you take and complete surveys with you will need to check and consult with them as each site will have their own payment methods used and minimum payout thresholds and when you can and can't ask for it to be processed and how long they will take. 

I expect the majority will be Amazon gift cards, PayPal, Payza, Bankers Check and even direct to your bank account depending on which site you are taking the surveys with. 

The occassional site will even pay in BitCoin. 

Yes, 

It appears so an in small amount and quantities which adds to my own thoughts about PanelPlace being legit but a low income, very low income opportunity. 

On their site they call it Social Proofs. You will see that most are in the dollar or two mark and very few over 5 dollars. 

No, 

PanelPlace is a Singaporean company and not subject to registering with or the laws and by-laws of the Better Business Bureau which only covers Mexico, US and Canada. 

By default their status with the BBB is unlisted, unaccredited and not-rated.

Despite my low to middle of the road opinion regarding PanelPlace.com there are some things that I did like about them which were:

• Joining Panel Place is Free and very easy.
• You Can Refer your Friends. 
• You can earn real money because of them. 
• They only recommend to you good legit surveys.

It is pretty obvious by now that there are a few things that I simply do not like about PanelPlace which were: 

• There are no surveys of their own to take.
• No real earning opportunity on their site or app.
• Their list of recommended survey sites is very limited.

Yes, 

In a way that you can by chance win some money on their free contests but as far as earning by means of completing tasks, getting referrals or completing surveys goes you cannot make money with PanelPlace but you can because of them indirectly due to their recommendations. 

It is on the sites that they recommend that you will earn, and with those sites and not PanelPlace.com themselves. 

In my opinion Panel Place is Legitimate and not a scam.

There is nothing at all that I have seen directly on their site in the way that they function, do business or any claims else where that would make or cause me to think otherwise.

It is completely fair to say that PanelPlace is legit. 

If you are thinking of Joining PanelPlace I'd have serious second thoughts due to their being no real earning opportunity with them directly and there being much better survey aggregators available. 

The only reason they have a "membership" rather than just stating straight on their online platform the list of site they work with is they want your email address so they can market to you. 

Being straight open and honest with you here, while PanelPlace are safe there are much better online opportunities than what they have on offer. 

Skip it and consider something else.
