I have absolutely no doubt that you know exactly what YouGov is - they are one of the most well known, and most popular survey sites, with a large variety of topics to answer surveys on. 

I guess you are here to find out if you can coin in on their popularity, how many surveys you can take and more importantly how much you can make by participating with their platform. 

In this review. I will independently investigate YouGov and make an attempt to answer all the question that you could possibly have regarding this site. If I miss any of your pertaining questions - please do ask them in the comments box below. 

My goal with this review is to simply help you to make an informed and educated decision regarding YouGov.

YouGov, (yougov.com), founded in 2000 by Stephan Shakespeare and Nadhim Zahawi. They are a United Kingdom based market research company that also provide data analytics for their clients. 

They leverage online data sampling and market research data to conduct online surveys, opinion polls and deliver those insights for the media, universities, political parties, non-profit organisations and private businesses. 

There appears to be lot of polls and questions that are related to politics, which should come as no surprise, one of the founders Nadhim Zahawi, is a Member of the United Kingdom Parliament. 

They operate in the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific, The Middle East and North America. 

You can participate directly on their website or by using their iOS App or Android App. 

YouGov are specialists in market research and data analytics by means of online opinion polls and surveys. They get their responses from a panel of internet users who are invited to participate in their surveys and polls. 

This information and data is collected, collated, weighted in line with demographic details and presented to their clients. 

Your part in this is to honestly, and as accurately as you can, complete their surveys and for your time and effort you will be paid. 

Who Is YouGov For?

YouGov is a survey site that is available globally for participants over the age of 18. I add, they are not available in all countries. See the map below for details. 

If you are from one of the countries highlighted you can take part in YouGov surveys. 

Other users of YouGov are businesses, brands and political poll companies seeing to understand their market and audience more. Political pollsters will be seeking to judge the general consensus on a new government policy and the popularity of one candidate or party over another.

Getting started with YouGov is not difficult at all. Just look for the text "join" which is just right or the top centre of the screen. 

This will take you to their registration page where you can sign up using your email and by creating a password. 

You will then be sent a confirmation email with a link for you to click. Just click the link and proceed to follow the instruction and complete your profile information. 

YouGov, is a survey site and you have just one way of earning money with them which is my taking part in and completing their surveys and polls. 

Despite their enormity a huge popularity they don't appear to have so much surveys available - they have a lot more than most survey sites, but you should not expect to be able to participate in more than 6-8 surveys every week. 

The average amount of time that it should take for you to complete is from 5

minutes to 15 minutes depending on the survey. 

In the email alerts that you receive you are unfortunately not told about how much you could earn with the surveys that you are told about in the emails or how long they will take. For this information you will need to log in to the dashboard and find out for yourself. 

One of the really good things that I like here is that the email alerts appear to be "smart" emails - they contain only surveys that you qualify for. 

Most of their surveys pay 300 to 500 points with the longer surveys paying more. At this moment in time 1,400 points = US$2. 

You can earn 300 to 500 points per survey with 6 to 8 surveys per week being the amount that you can reasonably expect to take making your maximum point 4,000 per week. 

Currently, 1,400 points = US$1.00. 

4,000 /1,400 x US$1 = US$2.85 per week which works out at US$12.24 per month you can earn at the most. 

I have not seen any income proof by YouGov users despite a rather vain search. I am not particularly concerned about this due to the low income, which hardly motivates users to posy income proof or the fact that posting income proof is incredibly rare for survey sites in general.

Yes!. 

YouGov in very safe in my opinion. They are a huge multi-national site that operate in many different countries across the globe.

You data is safe too. If you don't want them to sell you data you can request that by going through the process on their site. 

There are some things that I like about YouGov, which were: 

• It is so easy and quick to join.
• You can earn money with them. 
• You can get paid by PayPal.

There are some things that I did not like about YouGov, which were: 

• Earnings wise they are a waste of your time. 
• You can only be paid cash by PayPal - no other options. 
• Very few options for making money - just surveys!.

There is no denying that you can make money with YouGov, this is fairly evident as there are plenty of paid surveys available, but a few bucks per week is hardly going to get you rushing off to the bank to pay any bills. 

Pocket change is what you are going to earn here. 

Despite the crazy claims made, I can safely say that YouGov is not a scam. They have been running for over 20 years and are multinational organisation. 

If they were a scam they would be halted in the tracks by now.  

I am happy to tell you that YouGov is indeed legitimate. 

There have been stories of YouGov not paying you any cash but in gift cards only. In my investigation a deep dive into YouGov I have found this not to be true. You can indeed get paid in cash to your PayPal account. 

I still think YouGov is just a fun site to play around with and not to take seriously at all as you not going to earn anything at all of not with them. 

This is a hard fact with all survey sites.

I strongly advise you to stop wasting your time with low income opportunities such as survey sites or reward sites and give some serious thought to starting an online business around a hobby or personal interest and then give some thought to scaling up and starting more sites.
