Fast-forwarding to today they have a database of 7 million+ members globally, who have taken and completed 20 million+ surveys between them making American Consumer Opinion one of the biggest and oldest online survey companies. 

Despite its name, they are available outside of America; you do not have to be based in the US or an American to take part. 

The Business model of and functionality of American Consumer Opinon is very easy to explain.

Your data is safe with this company as they are not known for selling your personal data - just your opinion on certain matters is important to them. 

Their track record in this aspect is impeccable!. 

Once you have joined and completed your profile information you will find that there are no surveys on the site. You need to wait for them to email you with the surveys that you qualify for.  

This survey site like all other survey sites and Get Paid To Reward style sites use a points system which later can get converted into cash. 

Currently, 1 point is worth just one Penny. 1 point is a measly US$0.01. 

You have to meet to the minimum payout requirement before you can request payment. Minimum pay out is 1,000 points or US$10.

There are some things that I did not like about American Consumer Opinion, which were:

• Pay out can be slow!. 
• Income Potential is low!

Yes, 

You can make some money with American Consumer Opinion but due to the low payments and low availability of surveys and other tasks to generate an income you will earn very little with this company. 

I don't expect anyone to make more that US$10 to US$15 per week here. 

American Consumer Opinion is not a scam. 

It is just a low income opportunity that is all.  

There is no act of deception or fraud at all, so I cannot claim nor unfairly brand them as a scam. 

I actually thought I was going to end up reviewing an opportunity where you can make money from surveys given their longevity.

In the end they have ended up being no different from any other survey site, low income and not really worth your time nor effort. 

The big fault here is the same one that all survey site and reward sites are guilty of.
