Sweeties Secret Sweeps [Review]

Sweeties Secret Sweeps, first registered in 2009 is a sweepstakes membership site costing an annual membership fee of US$40. 

The site is owned by a lady who only identifies herself as Wendy Limague.  The prizes that she claims to have won on sweepstakes include an apparent US$25,000 trip to France!.

If you ask me that is one heck of trip!. 

She has apparently also won a truck, no indication of value given, and a number of other prizes. 

Wendy explains that the goal of her site - Sweeties Secret Sweeps is to help you to increase your chances of winning local and national sweepstakes. 

Membership is US$40 yearly which gives you full access to the site and a newsletter. For your US$40 Investment you get: 

• Details of Local & National Sweepstakes Send to you on a daily basis. 

• Updates about forthcoming Sweepstakes and ones that are just about to end.

• A Guide To Entering Sweepstakes and stacking odds in your favour.

• How to organise your lists and track your sweepstake entries.

• Crowd Sourced Information Sharing inside the Sweeties Secret Sweepstakes community.

Sweeties Secret Sweeps also permits you too add details about sweepstakes to their directory. For some reason or another Canada Only Sweeps are not permitted.  

When you share details of a sweepstake you can earn points which you can later exchange for gift cards or even in exchange for membership to the site!.

What Are Sweepstakes?

A sweepstake is, at least in the sense back home in the UK, is considered by many to be a form of gambling and are particularly popular in Ireland and around Early April for the "Grand National Sweepstake" (a horse racing event). 

Usually a Sweepstake in the manner in which this website is referring to is a type of contest where some kind of prize, often more than one, is awarded to a series of winners (i.e first prize, second prize, third prize etc etc). 

To be considered legally as a sweepstake the prize has to be based on an act of randomness and not skill.

If an element of skill is involved technically speaking it is a competition as the competitor with the highest skill level wins.

When the winner is drawn and based on an act of randomness such as a raffle or a lottery it can be considered as a Sweepstake.  

Sweepstakes are often used as a marketing tool, both online and offline to gain exposure for a product, service or brand. 

In a nutshell - Sweepstake the winner is chosen by luck, in a competition the winner is by skill!. 

The functionality of this site and concept is pretty simple. It acts as an online portal that collects and collates information about a variety of Sweepstakes being held worldwide - both online and offline. 

The site then displays the information about the sweepstakes all in the one place saving you from searching everywhere for them. 

This is why you have both your membership fee and the ability to earn by posting details about sweepstakes. 

The cheap low cost membership fee - less that 80 cents a week is great for convenience as you can have all the best sweepstakes "under the one roof" and saves a lot of time searching for them and you get to enter more sweepstakes than you normally would increasing your opportunity of winning prizes and winning back your US$40 fee!

Something that I always check, and yes I did check for Sweeties Secret Sweeps on the Better Business Bureau website. 

Because the site is a membership site it does not mean that it should not be registered as a business. Wendy Limague is selling a service via her site and is thus a business. 

As you can guess there is no listing for Sweeties Secret Sweeps one the BBB database. By default the status is Unaccredited and NR - Not Rated.

After searching around on google, yahoo, bing and a whole host of my regular complaints boards and forums I could not find any complaints about Sweeties Secret Sweeps. 

Either the site owner Wendy is doing a great job and keeping everyone happy or there is a lack of traffic to the site. 

Is suspect that it is a bit of both as it is very specialist and unique site. 

What I like about this site is very clean and, excuse my language, "BS Free". There are no wild income claims or that you are going win US$50,000 making the site very different from OMG Sweeps and Get It Free. 

Sweeties Secret Sweeps is a good clean platform with a community feel to it with lots of members sharing tips and submitting sweepstakes that you can enter. It is also pretty cheap - less than US$0.80 per week to join. 

This is actually one of the very few sites I have come across that there is genuine not a lot to dislike about the site. 

Ok the site is a bit static and poorly designed but so what!. It is functional and serves its purpose. 

One drawback is that it is not a way of making money or earning money - the site is not claiming that you can or will either!.  

No, as clear as the day is long Sweeties Secret Sweeps is not a site in which you can or will make money from it.

Kudos to the site owner for being open and honest about that and not misleading in any way.  

No, absolutely not. I cannot see in anyway at all that Sweeties Secret Sweeps is a scam. 

You can even earn free membership by submitting a sufficient number of sweepstakes that you know of!. 

Ok, so there is no money to be made here at all. None whatsoever. 

You might - emphasis on might win a prize or two!. 

Sweepstakes by their very definition are based on luck and not a definite way of earning regular income online in a sustainable way. 

To do that you need to learn the key skills of making money online.

In my experience, it is without a single doubt in my mind the difference between success and failure - taking the time and effort to learn and master the skills. 

I certainly wish I had done that years before I actually did rather than spend (waste!) what was a further 2 years of my life spinning my wheels and chasing a number of opportunities that I was destined to fail with due to lacking the core skills needed. 

I suggest you give serious consideration to developing the skills. Once you do, you will start to realise just how easy and simple the whole process is.
