They are perhaps the grandfather of survey sites along side Global Test Market, with both having been established in 1999. This is an incredibly long time for a survey site and does serve to prove their legitimacy.
Most Survey sites fall by the way side after only a couple of years.
They are owned by Luth Research, a limited liability company run by current president Roseanne Luth. Luth Research have been in the business of market research since their inception in 1977.
Luth Research has 8 registered trade marks and generates $4.7M Annually according to crunchbase.
On this site you can share your opinion and thoughts about certain products and brands and get paid for it.

The functionality of SurveySavvy as a business is very straight forwards and easy to understand.
The site is owned and run by a well established market research company who collate and collect market specific data on behalf of their clients who need that important information.

This information helps them to improve their products and services, and in turn improve their businesses.
SurveySavvy - they need your opinions and thought about those specific companies and products to get that information to their clients and compensate you for your time and effort.

Joining Survey Savvy is completely free and the minimum age required is 14 years of age. Being available in 200+ countries I can safely say that it is available in your country!.
Signing up is as easy as filling out the sign up form, using your email address and creating a password. There is no instant signup using your profile from Facebook, Linkedin and so on.
Once you have signed up and your application to join is accepted your are free to get started and start taking surveys.
One of the plus points about this survey site is they reward you only in financial terms - cash only, no points system, no merchandise, no gift cards - just cash!.
For every completed survey you can earn between $1 to $3 with a minimum payout threshold of $1.

What Is SavvyConnect?
SavvyConnect is a software application by SurveySavvy that you can install on your mobile device be it a smartphone or tablet and your computer (laptop or desktop) which then works away in the background with nothing for you to do at all.
And you can earn extra money for having the app installed as well as the possibility of you qualifying for more surveys.
The app tracks your surfing habits and behaviors online, what sites you visit, how long you spend on certain sites, what type of sites they are - video, podcast, social media, blogs, news sites, forums and so on.
This information is actually gold for data collection agencies and market research firms.
This is bordering on Surveillance Capitalism where your data is sold at a profit.
Using their SavvyConnect facility might be a cool way of earning some extra bucks but I'm not so trusting of the app, and I am not sure I want my surfing habits tracked.
I would hold back on this one until the company confirm EXACTLY what information is collated!.
SurveySavvy Portrait Surveys
Keeping your profile updated has the advantage of increasing your chances of getting invitations to take part in surveys.
Portrait Surveys are detailed questions related to your own interests, lifestyle, family, circumstances, favorite products, your income and so on.
The information used here is to determine what surveys are most suitable for you. You could consider it to be like a introductory survey or qualifying survey that many of the other regular sites ask you.
SurveySavvy Referral Program
SurveySavvy does have an interesting referral program that works on two tiers and despite there being detailed information about the program the information on the site is lacking the all important information!.
How much!. There is no indication in dollar amount nor as a percentage earned per referral or referral's referral.
You get compensated when your referrals or your referrals complete surveys.
There is no actual amount stated.
Either way, it is unlikely that you are going to make a significant amount based on your referrals unless you are incredibly gifted at recruiting and manage to keep your referrals active.

How Much Can You Earn?
It is not possible to determine actually how much you can earn as there are a number of factors at play including how hard you work and how many surveys you get given in a given month.
It also depends on your ability to recruit and how active they are - given that there is a referral program.
The surveys pay between $1 to $3 with an extra $5 per month per device for using SavvyConnect.
I would not expect to earn much maybe $30 to $50 per month.
How Do SavvySurvey Pay You?
Check mate!.
You have two choices of payment by SavvySurvey, Check or Check!. Yep, you got that right! Payment is by check only!.
Thankfully though, minimum payout is just $1. Payment can take from 4 to 6 weeks to process though.
Is SurveySavvy Accredited By The BBB?
Being the kind of person that I am I like to check out companies and how they are rated by consumer organisations and groups as means of judging how trusted and trusting they can be.
The Better Business Bureau page for SurveySavvy redirects to that of their parent organisations Luth Research, of which I can happily report that they are well rated, in fact perfectly rated with A+ rating and are fully accredited with the BBB.
Common Complaints
Despite an A+ rating with there BBB there appears to be a common element to and line to the complaints made by users.
Complaints have the tendency to centre around non-payment and difficulties cashing their checks.
Frequently there appears to be complaints about the SavvyConnect App conveniently "not working" (when it actual fact it might be - who knows!) and the refusal point blank to pay out the agreed $5 fee.
Surely if the app is not working it is not the fault of the user and the company must take responsibility for that, fix the software issue with and update and compensate users for the inconvenience!
Is SurveySavvy legitimate?
Survey Savvy is indeed a legitimate company and business with and genuine way for you to make some extra cash online by completing surveys.
I have not encountered any illegal activity to say so otherwise.
Is SavvyConnect Safe?
Wow - talk about a loaded question.
This is actually not a question that can be answered by an independent blogger - unless they are a software engineer and take a proper look at how the app is coded.
SurveySavvy don't actually tell you anywhere on their site what kind of info and data is monitored by their app or how secure it is.
There is no information at all to tell us that the information is encrypted or which encryption standard is used.
Given the lack of information I am not all that sure about this app, which why I don't advise its use.

Naturally Speaking, nothing is ever perfect or totally perfect. Let's talk about what I did not like about SurveySavvy.
Lack Of Payment Options!
Not everyone likes to be paid by check - it is probably very inconvenient for those outside of the US.
Get with it and use some online options like Paypal!
Lack Of Information About SavvyConnect
Nobody likes a data breach or to install questionable software on the phone/tablet of home computer, particularly when we know it is more monitoring purposes.
A lack of clarity makes the app very questionable and a user unable to decide if it is safe or not to use.
Missing VIP Details In The Referral Program
Sure, I understand their referral program - very easy to understand. I know how I will be paid and what for but not how much moolah!. This can easily be expressed as a percentage.
The lack of detail opens up a grey area for the site to cheat you out of what you are due - particularly when you don't know!.

Sure, you can most certainly make money with SurveySavvy this something that is not in question at all.
The bigger question is how much!.
In reality not a lot!.
You are likely to be looking at around the $50 mark per month for completing surveys. It is not something that is going to make much of a difference at all.

My SurveySavvy Review - The Final Conclusion
SurveySavvy is a legitimate site and you can make some extra money with them - this there is little doubt about.
But the amount that you can earn is very little.
I would advise you to steer clear of the SavvyConnect until the site clarifies exactly what is monitored and collected by the app - this does raise both security and privacy concerns.
Instead of wasting your time earning $1 or $2 a day with survey sites, or running around trying to recruit everyone you know...or ever knew to join your team in some MLM opportunity or doing face to face selling and hosting product demonstration parties.
Seek out better opportunities that involve none of all that!.
I strongly suggest that you have a look at what is working for me and has been working rather well since 2015 and, quite frankly will continue to do so for a number of years to come and the foreseeable future.
No MLM - seriously! I hate MLM's!. No face to face selling - really not my thing at all!. I definitely don't spend my time filling out surveys!.
