iPoll Review – Yet Another Survey Scam? [UPDATED]

Looking for iPoll Reviews?. Survey sites have quite a reputation and can be pretty divisive depending on who you talk to. Some will swear blind that they are all scams while other will defiantly claim their legitimacy!.

So who to believe? 

Independent reviewers, that is who!.

 Independent and unaffiliated reviewers like myself, will tell you what a product is REALLY like without singing its' praises from the roof tops hoping to earn a referral fee. 

Before I get started I thank you for seeking out independent reviews, this is how you get the real unwritten truth about questionable products, system and opportunities and find the best way to make money online. 

Let's get cracking and get on and find out all you need to know about iPoll and if it is a scam or legit!

iPoll, formerly known as Survey Head, is one of the many online survey sites that are backed by market research firm Dynata LLC. 

Dynata, formerly known as survey sampling international are a well established data collection and online sampling company that was founded in 1999 and own a number of online survey sites including Opinion Outpost, SurveySavvy +many more. 

One of the main ways in which iPoll differentiates from other online survey sites is the way in which they are very mobile and smartphone based. 

Despite the list of 32 countries and their comical erroneous flags next to them the availability appears to be only the US, UK and Canada.

Let's now get on and talk more about how iPoll works!.

This will help you to get credited with instant polls and surveys that require you to be in a given location. And, obviously can get you more surveys. 

A survey that needs you to be in Starbucks, really needs you be in Starbucks and can earn you, well and extra Vanilla latte!. A survey about a movie theater will need you to be there when taking the survey. 

And one about a gas station...you get it!. 

Hence the very mobility nature of iPoll and being much more opportunity using it on your phone and installing the app.

Obviously the better paying surveys require more effort, still there is nothing too difficult, too brain racking or laborious. 

A poll focused on shopping might require you to take and send them a photo to confirm exactly where the item was placed in the shop. 

In some instances you are obliged to respond to and answer a few questions about the product.

Not exactly difficult and could bag you $10. If you are already in the shop when you get sent that mission or are going anyway...

Bullseye!.

What I do like is similar to many survey sites they do indicate how long the task should take you. This is good as if you don't have that extra 10 or 15mins you know to skip the survey. 

Another very cool feature is you get sent push notifications of what polls are available near you. Just "tap the app" for the details and take part if it suits you. 

iPoll Cash Out

To get paid for your efforts is easy. Rather conveniently iPoll cash out to your Paypal account, which is currently speaking the only option for cash.

To qualify for cash payment to your Paypal account you must reach the US$50 minimum payout threshold. 

You can also exchange your cash amount for gift cards from Amazon and iTunes. 

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will be aware that this is a section that I never miss out in any of the reviews that I make. 

Researching and checking out how a company is viewed by consumer groups and organisations such as the Better Business Bureau gives us a good idea as how a business is perceived by advocacy groups like these and, in my opinion a benchmark for how much we can actually trust them.

There is no actual listing on the BBB for iPoll, but, rather interestingly and appropriately the BBB redirect to the parent company's profile. 

Rather alarming is the company is not accredited and has the worse possible rating of a flat failure "F" rating. 

There are, unfortunately, a lot of complaints about Dynata, the parent company of iPoll and how they conduct business. 

Obviously this is quite a concern and something that you should be aware of. Similar complaints across the board can be found in relation the other survey sites that they run, SurveySavvy, QuickThought. 

I have reproduced below a certain commonality to the line of complaints. 

Despite the above complaints iPoll app is a legitimate app where you can earn money for your efforts in completing polls and surveys. 

The only question is how much can you earn. 

And do be aware of the complaints above!. 

Currently you can earn a nice US$5.00 just for signing up and using the iPoll app. You can take their surveys anywhere, any time and from any place.  

The dollar amount that you can earn per survey varies from US$0.50 to US$3.00, so if you are lucky and manage a $3 survey once a day you can end up with $90 in a given month. 

In reality - getting 1 per day is unlikely, as is all the surveys paying $3., 20 surveys per month at an average of $1.50 will bring you $30 in a month - a more likely scenario. 

There are some thing that I do like about iPoll, let's talk about those for a moment. 

• Free Is Free

iPoll is free to join and this is something that can only be describes a good thing. Free to join, free to get started making money. 

• Take Surveys On The Go

Taking surveys on the go and completing missions is a rather unique feature and something that I do like. Very smart, very trendy.

Why sit in Starbucks wasting your time on Facebook when you can make some money doing surveys!.

• Paypal!

While gift cards are nice and cool, it is better to get real cash. 

• You Can Actually Make Money

Self explanatory here!, seriously who doesn't like some of those digital online bucks!

There are some things about this app that I did not like. Here they are. 

• Shocking BBB Rating!

Unaccredited and big fat F rating. No good, not good!.

• Very High Payment Threshold!

$50 to get your cash in your Paypal account can take you a while. Such high payout for a method of income that actually earns very little. Not good, not good at all!. 

• Lack Of Payment Options

There is the option of Paypal or giftcards, but if you want cash Paypal is your only option!. 

Yes, I won't deny it!. This is an honest and independent review after all!. 

You can make money with iPoll, but sadly you are unlikely to make anything worthy of note, you are probably looking at $30 to $60 per month. 

It is unlikely that you are going to earn you any big bucks.

iPoll is not a scam, not at all. 

The word "Scam" is conjures up a meaning of criminal activity and illegal activity which is punishable by law.

Despite a lot of polemic complaints about the parent company I was unable to uncover any illegal activity that would permit me to label the company as a scam or a fraud. 

Do be aware of the complaints made about the company and despite not being a scam approach with caution. 

I really do like the idea behind the iPoll app - it is pretty unique and there is something in it - in my opinion. 

But I am concerned about the low earning potential and the parent companies alleged history of account closure and non payment of funds. 

Still,

Why chase up survey sites as a way of earning money online when the whole industry in notorious for low rates of pay.?

Do you know anyone at all that is earning even a part time income from survey sites? 

Nobody? 

My point exactly!. No money in survey sites. I know - I have reviewed dozens and dozens of them and yet to find one that will cover your car payment or your rent/mortgage. 

Instead of chasing you surveys sites or desperately begging your friends to join some MLM opportunity, seek out ways that do work and are much more enjoyable. 

I've been making money online consistently since 2015 without taking surveys, or doing any face to face selling, and no hosting some kind of party/product demo, and certainly zero recruiting or being involved with MLM's.  

There is no reason as to why you cannot do the same, I strongly suggest that you have a look at how I earn a living online - I promise you it is much better than filling out surveys!.
