Expedite Transcription, founded in 1996 are a Transcription Service company that are headquartered in British Colombia, Canada. 

The type of transcription they focus on are:

1. Law Enforcement. 
2. Medical Transcription.

They tend to hire locally only, but make exceptions for great candidates.

At the heart of their business model Expedite transcriptions are a business process outsourcing company.  

Their work comes in to their from their clients which range from law firms to medical practices to hospitals and law enforcement agencies who need their audio and video files processed and converted into a text based document. 

That work then get given to their in house staff (hopefully you!) for completion.

Once your work has been completed it get checked by their quality control team of proofreaders and editors before being sent to their clients for acceptance. 

What Is The Work Like?

The work at Expedite Transcription can be of a technical nature due to the predominant fields of Medicine and Law that they operate in. 

Due to which it is an obvious advantage to have extensive experience in this area, a high degree of accuracy and familiarity with the technical language used. 

The work can be repetitive due to the nature of continually starting, stopping and typing what you hear. 

With that said, it is not a difficult job to do for experienced transcriptionists. 

If possible, mix up the work that is available to help avert the boredom of Groundhog Day.

To get hired they are looking for experienced transcriptionists with knowledge and experience in Medical and Legal Transcription.

It is not stated a required typing speed or how much experience, given the serious nature of the work they undertake I expect 2 to 3 years being required.

Having checked online on Glassdoor and Indeed for the salary of transcriptionists in British Colombia you can expect around US$20 to US$25 per hour.

It has been not been possible to determine a general point of view what it is like working with or for Expedite Transcription Services from an employee's perspective.

You can make money with Expedite Transcription. More accurately you will earn money with Expedite Transcription as an employee. 

Although not stated by the company or anywhere I expect, based on my research that successful applicants will earn in the US$20-US$25 per hour range. 

Despite a lack of information online about the company one thing I can say is Expedite Transcription are not a scam. 

They are a very serious and legitimate business that has been in operation for decades!. If there was something fishy going on they would not remain in business so long. That something I can say for sure. 

In my opinon, Expedite Transcription are not a scam. 

If are living in British Colombia area and are a qualified and experienced Transcriptionist by all means go for it, apply for a job with Expedite Transcription. It may even end up being exactly what you are looking for. 

If you are not in their vicinity, it is not worth while applying as they will not hire you.
