I came across BARE International and their Mystery Shopper opportunity while looking for interesting and different side hustles. 

The premise of their task and what you need to do is straight forward - taking part in and the required shopping activities at their partner stores. 

This might sound like it is too good to be true and probably has that questions "Is BARE International A Scam?" buzzing around your mind.

Well, 

I'll answer that straight away - No, BARE International are not a scam, they are completely legitimate and you can indeed get paid to do some mystery shopping with them. 

By the time you have finished reading this Review of BARE International you know who they are, how they work, what exactly you need to do to, how much you can earn and how you will get paid.

In this section, rather that telling what it is you are required to do exactly and how this opportunity works for you, I take a different approach to other reviewers and talk about how BARE International works as a business and how they make money. 

BARE International are a market research company as stated above. They get paid by their clients to conduct the research and analysis for them, it is a very simple business model to follow. 

I like to dig around and find out this information as this helps both you and I to understand the legitimacy of a particular company and the opportunity presented as this is usually the big banana skin where they slip up!

If they can't make money or cannot earn enough to pay you what they claim you better be assured that you will not either and thus a scam opportunity. I am happy that this is not that case and that BARE International are indeed Legitimate. 

Who Is BARE International

 For?

BARE International is a worldwide opportunity. There is no limitation as to where you reside to take part in their opportunity. 

Anyone and everyone is free to register with them and take us assignments when they are available. 

You must be at least 18 years older to take part. 

Getting started with this opportunity you will need to locate their registration page and proceed to complete their registration process, which is quite lengthy, more that the majority of other sites that I have reviewed. 

When you have completed your registration you have to take some surveys for them to get all the information that they need. 

The intention of the surveys is to help you get more job offers from them, particularly in your location.

There is only one earning opportunity here which is BARE Jobs. When your application to be an Evaluator with them is accepted you can become an evaluator with them. 

To clarify, an evaluator is the term that they use for a mystery shopper. You can simply check out their dashboard and look for what BARE Jobs are going on in your locality. 

You will see a list of the shops, how far they are from you and how much you will earn for each job for completing the task. 

The fee that you will see will most likely be listed in Euros. For more detail on the job just click "more" and more instruction and information will appear. 

When you take up a job you need to read, understand and follow the instructions exactly as they require as you will need to follow them precisely and then write a report. If you are missing something or have not complete the job as they require you will not be rewarded for your efforts.  

As it is mystery shopping, it is likely that you will need to spend some money to purchase the stated products, but this is not always the case as in some jobs you are required to go to the shop and ask a series of questions and evaluate your overall experience. 

In case of having to buy a product or service, keep the receipt as you will be refunded the entire cost of the product or service when you photograph it and send it in to them with your report. 

As part of your report you will need to take a selfie at the stated location as proof that you were there alongside a copy of government issued ID such as your passport or drivers licence. 

They require that you submit your report within 24 hours. 

When your report has been reviewed and accepted you will be paid which bring us to the next question - How much can you earn? 

In theory, there is no limit to your earning potential, of course it is fully dependent on where you live, how active you are and how many jobs become available in your area. 

One of the things about BARE International is once you have joined them, you can take up jobs in different areas if you want, even in different countries. 

In practice, your earning potential is on the low side in terms of gross amount that you can earn and in terms of the amount of time put in and effort required. 

You also need to do the job as exactly as required as if you don't you will not refunded for the purchase that you made, if any. 

In my own estimation you will be able to earn from US$60 to US$90 per month, assuming you live in a large city or near to one and have ample access to a outlets that they work with. 

You get paid on the 16th of every month and will include any expenses that you incurred making purchases for any products or services that you had to buy. 

Something that is lacking in their dashboard is they don't keep track of what you are due to be paid for each job, this is something that you need to track yourself. 

How much you are reinbursed is set out in each job description - make sure that you don't over spend this amount. 

BARE International will Pay you by PayPal or Bank Transfer. Is you are based in Canada, they will pay you by check.

I searched for proven and legitimate, bonafide income proof from BARE International Evaluators from a number of sources including social media, forums, and google. 

I have not seen any income proof at all unfortunately. This I expect as jobs are on an adhoc basis and income is not too high.

I encourage you and always insist that you take every opportunity that catches your attention serious and do your background checks. This is how you stay safe online. 

I searched for Bare International on the Better Business Bureau database, unfortunately they are not accredited, however in their favour they are excellently rated at an A+.

There are somethings that I do like About BARE International which are:

• The are legitimate and free to join. 
• They are an international opportunity. 
• You can earn money with them.
• You can get paid by PayPal.

There are some cons to BARE International that you should be aware of, which are:

• They are not accredited by the BBB. 
• It's a low income opportunity. 
• Long drawn out registration process. 
• If you don't complete the task correctly and exactly as required you are not reimbursed any expenses incurred.

Yes, 

 - to answer the question in a single word you can of course make money with BARE International as one of their evaluators. Earnings are not at all that great but mystery shopping as is easy as it gets.  

I have had a real good look at this opportunity, their site and what they have on offer and in my opinion it is very clear that BARE International is not a scam.

They are a very large and long established company dating back to 1987. If they were a scam they would have been found out by now and shut down by now. 

They are in my opinion completely legitimate.

BARE International offers you probably one of the easiest jobs that there is to do as one of their evaluators, which is really just being a mystery shopper. 

However, 

despite being a very easy to do job you need to follow their instructions exactly or risk no getting paid and that involves you writing a report. 

I highly doubt that you will be able to be a professional mystery shopper with them. I suggest that you will only be able to earn, at most with this opportunity a small side income and no where near what you need to fill any income gap that you have or may have. 

It for this reason that I suggest that you keep an eye on this opportunity but have greater focus on something that will led you to a full time income.
