Is HempSMART A Scam Or A Safe CBD Business Opp?

Who Is Don Steinberg?

Don Steinberg is the Chief Executive Officer of both HempSMART Ltd and H Smart Inc. He is listed as the founder and CEO of Medical Marijuana Inc, who where the first Marijuana company to go public trading under the MJNA Ticker symbol on the NASDAQ Index. 

The Medical Marijuana Inc own a number of brands including Kannaway, The Hemp Network, HempVap LLC and and number of other well known brands in the industry. 

Clearly, there is hard nosed and experienced business man behind HempSMART and one with experience owning similar businesses in the CBD and network marketing sector. 

Who Is Ian Harvey?

Checking out his linkedin profile Ian appears to have life long and extensive experience in both business management and sales. He also has experience with a few different network marketing company's. 

He has an eye for commercial opportunities and sound business acumen, describes himself as positive, driven and determined. He has worked, taught and lectured over the past decade in a number of countries including Japan, South Africa, Europe and America. 

His role at HempSMART is that of the global sales director. 

HempSMART Lawsuit

Currently speaking there are no lawsuits held against HempSMART by any private citizens, corporations or regulatory authorities. 

I was not expecting to find any due to being a new business. If and when I hear of one, this section will be updated. 

Unfortunately lawsuits and network marketing opportunities are all too common, and ought to be researched and looked into.

The last thing you want is to do shell out a lot of money to get started and few months later find the company shutdown. 

Due to sound the management in place I am not expecting any lawsuits to come any time soon. 

• HempSMART Brain

The aim of this HempSMART product is to improve your cerebral health and cognitive function. The company claim that this product improves your memory and focus. 

Each bottle has 60 capsules with a recommended daily dosage of 2 capsules per day. Contained in this supplement is bioperene, which aids your body's ability to absorb nutrients.

Other ingredients include green tea extract, turmeric, fluvic acid and vitamin B12.

HempSMART Products Are THC Free!

The entire range of products available by this company are free from  tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the psychoactive compound commonly found in cannabis. 

You can rest assured that you will have no problems in regards to any drug tests or getting high with their products. 

Some CBD companies include THC in a minute dosage (must be less than 0.3% dry weight to be legally sold), but HempSMART have taken the decision to eliminate THC altogether in their products. 

HempSMART Products Are Organic

Always a good thing to look for when buying or looking to sell products is if they are organic or not as this from a sellers point of view is a good selling point, from a consumer's point it is better for their health as the product has been cultivated with use of harmful chemicals or pesticides. 

Their Products Are CO2 Extracted

This is definately something that you should look for when it comes to any and every CBD product that your are looking to use or opportunity that you are considering getting involved in.

CO2 Extraction is a soft gentle process that has little to no impact on the end product and quality of the compounds. The result of this process is a full spectrum hemp extract. 

On the other hand, a CBD isolate is stripped from all of it active compounds, fatty acids and terpenes resulting in an end product that is far less effective than a CO2 extract. 

• Leadership Prosperity Bonus

In the HempSMART Compensation Plan the company have a bonus override that is a percentage of the total volume of sales on each level up to 7 levels deep. 

This bonus is weighted based on each of the individual products points value and is paid out on their commissionable value. 

This bonus is rewarded to HempSMART associates that enrol at least 2 associates during their first week of joining the Business Opportunity. 

This bonus is only available to active associates, VIP Leaders, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Managers. 

• Leadership Advancement Bonus

As the name and title of this bonus suggests, this bonus is paid out for those that advance through the Associate Ranks and serves as a nice inspiration and goal to achieve. 

• Leadership Matching Bonus

When you inspire, motivate and help members of your team to reach certain level you will earn a leadership matching bonus for your efforts. 

Something that I always check out and look for is an accreditation or rating for a business opportunity with the Better Business Bureau. 

Their standing with the BBB can help us to judge how much we can trust and confide in the company and see how professionally and legally they operate. 

Unfortunately, at the time of creating this article there is no listing for HempSMART or the parent company the Marijuana Company Of America with the BBB. 

Their status by default is Unaccredited and not rated. 

There appear to be few complaints around the web in regards to HempSMART and their products and business opportunity. 

I was not expecting to find much as this is a very new opportunity that is currently only months old. 

This section will be updated as and when I find viable and legitimate complaints and concerns that I feel you need to be aware of. 

No, 

HempSMART's products are not approved by the FDA. The FDA do not approve of any natural products or supplements for the use on or in the human body for the prevention, treatment or curing of any known disease or illness.

The company website have a disclaimer at the bottom of their website that states their products are not approved by the food and drug administration. 

I do no see any indication of their products being manufactured to any known safety or hygienic standard such as the cGMP which is handed out after an inspection by the FDA. 

According to The CBD Experts a Synthetic CBD isolate does not exist. Their advice is if you see a company mentioning a Synthetic CBD Isolate you should not use it and avoid the product. 

There are a few thing that I did like about HempSMART and their business opportunity which were: 

• It is a new and fresh opportunity
• Easy To Join with various enrollment options
• Interesting product range including targeted niches of CBD and Pain, CBD and Skincare and CBD Nootropics. 
• Run and owned by a publically listed company. 
• Sister company of Kannaway, a successful MLM business in the same CBD sector.
• Appear to be well managed and organised.  

There are some things that I did not like about HempSMART, which were: 

• No income disclosure statement available
• CBD is an unregulated market - a company can claim anything in regards to their products and contents and formulation. 
• It is a network marketing opportunity - which are notoriously difficult and complex to manage successfully for new business owners and inexperienced MLM'ers. 
• CBD was has been a hot topic for a while meaning the market is already saturated and with a lot of competition. 

This part when it comes to network marketing opportunity's I like to state the facts and figures from an income disclosure statement. 

Unfortunately, one is not yet available. 

It is in my opinion that you will find it difficult to make money with HempSMART due to the fact that the vast majority - some 98% of people starting a network marketing business fail to make a full time income from their efforts. 

Most people that are earning a liveable income from network marketing have taken an average of 7-8 years to achieve a full time income for the opportunity.

Those and well accepted industry wide facts. 

No, 

I have not seen anything at all in regards to HempSMART, their business opportunity or compensation plan that would suggest they are a pyramid scheme. 

HempSMART are a MLM business opportunity, this is easily deducted and concluded given their business model and compensation plan. 

In my opinion HempSMART is not a scam at all. I see no attempt to deceive the general public or any potential distributor into a financial loss. 

HempSMART are a legitimate opportunity and business. 

On the surface HempSMART appear to have quality products and legitimate and solid business opportunity, but just how good and viable their products are is up in the air due to a lack of industry regulation. 

MLM opportunities are difficult to run and manage as they are set up that way.

Success is tilted or shall I say pointed towards those at the top of the "pyramid". 

Even new network marketing businesses are this way as no company in it's right mind just launches and just hopes to succeed and magically have high level network marketers fall into their lap. 

A lot of planning and consulting is done months in advance recruiting seriously top level President, and vice president level marketers to promote their business for them. 

Those high rollers are successful as they have their contact list of people to inform and contact and get them ready for company launch day. The vast majority of the time the opportunity is already depleted when Joe or Jane public like you and I get to know about it. 

The lions share of the opportunity has already been wolfed down with chicken feed and scraps being left for the general public who normally find out about it via social media or some forum post. 

Those that succeed in MLM's are usually starting at the top and not working their way up. 

This is a hard and sad fact of all MLM opportunities. You can take my word for it - I've reviewed a few hundred of them so far!.
