Personally I am not a fan at all of network marketing or the whole concept of multilevel marketing at all. 


This is just my own personal taste.


Some people prefer  coffee while others tea. It is as simple as that.

A lot of MLM company's and sponsors encourage you to draw up a list of family and friends that may be interested in joining your opportunity. 


Ever heard the saying never to do business with family or friends...


...well It's true!. 


So don't do it, you have no reason to complicate your life any more than it needs to be.  


Encouraging your friends and family to join you just means you are the one harassing them, cracking whip and encouraging them to get sales and recruit others - in effect being their boss. 


If you don't see success or if they don't either, the whole blame game goes on and, well it was your idea that they got involved in this "hot opportunity!". 


There is nothing a miss with letting those close to you know what you are up to and perhaps asking for a little help here and there - only if you need it.


But don't go around suggesting they join your team or fabulous opportunity. 


It rarely ends well.

there people who successfully get their family and friends involved in their network marketing opportunity this is usually only because curiosity killed the cat!.

Probably the biggest mistake that newbies that get involved in MLM opportunities is seeing everyone as a potential client/customer. 


I see this mistake being made with people getting involved with niche marketing and affiliate marketing also


Like all other businesses, you will have much more success and at a greater level of efficiency when you identify your target market and centre your marketing efforts around and to them. 


If someone doesn't care or is not into what you have to sell. They are not someone worth bothering with or wasting your time on. 


Not every one with in 3 feet of you is prospect!. 


Add Value By Fulfilling Your Target Clients Needs


When your Business and products that you have to sell are making peoples lives better, easier, or solving a particular problem they are having or suffering. 


This is much better than ramming generic products in peoples faces who may not want nor have any particular need for them. 


This is a much better way of positioning your business, as a provider of solutions. Also, if you are thinking of a MLM business, think about their product line in terms of "what problem do their products solve". 


If no problem is being solved - don't get involved. 


Make A Daily Effort To Promote Your Products Or Services


Many of you getting involved in MLM business's and many Sponsors will encourage you to recruit people into your downline and bring in new business builders. 


When you focus solely on this, and in turn get others to do the same all you are doing is building a pyramid scheme even if and when the network marketing opportunity is NOT a pyramid scheme. 


And you'll be in danger of turning into an MLM Zombie!


Legitimate MLM businesses and all businesses for that matter require sales to be made, the income for a business is from sales either by yourself or by your downline team. 


Sales are the life blood of all businesses - regardless of which business model adopted. If you do no make sales you will fail!. It is that simple.


Make it your thing to focus on promoting the products that you have on a daily basis and put reduced emphasis on recruitment. 


Besides, 


Some of the people that you sell to might end up loving the products and wanting to promote them, if this opportunity presents itself, get them to join your team. 

Sponsor, Don't Recruit

Once you have the sales side dealt with and a lot of regular sales coming in either due to your current and past efforts or a lot of regular clients on autoship and/or your sales process entirely automated you can start to focus on recruitment. 


There is a lot of responsibility on recruitment, this is not a "pump and dump'' kind of job. 


Let's face it if your downline team are not making regular sales you will not be earning those passive residual commissions. 


Again, business thrives on sales!. 


Your job here is to help others to succeed as you have, which means taking the time and effort to help them to get sales, to recruit others and aid them to develop their own business with the opportunity. 


Don't see recruitment as means of pulling in as many recruits as quickly as you can, signing them up and forgetting them. 


See yourself as a business development manager and help people in that way, after all you are getting a kick back based on their efforts.

Set Goals For Parties and Presentations

Network Marketing is people and person to person based business, a lot of people, myself included do not like this kind of thing but it is that personal touch that sell products and get your repeat clients. 


This is something that conveys and transfers into the online world also.


People will buy from you and your site because of you and they will join your team pre-selecting you from a list of, well an almost infinite list of people. 


Setting goals for your offline and online parties and seeking to improve on that number with every party helps you to progress and grow your business. 


Despite the fact you are setting goals, don't come across as all salesy - nothing turns people off more when they feel they are being sold to. 


Be helpful, show and demonstrate how your products solve a particular problem. 

Learn How To Market

A lot of "MLM Zombies" stick to that 3 foot rule where anyone living or breathing in 3 foot radius is a potential client. 


Network marketing is like any other business model where a variety of marketing techniques and strategies need to be deployed


This goes for your online and offline efforts also and learning to use a number of tools to help you get the job done effectively.
