ySense Review ClickSense Rebooted – Scam Or Legit?

I don't blame you for a single second if you think YSense looks a bit familiar, it is as the headline suggests ClickSense Rebooted & Reloaded!. 

 ySense.com is simply ClickSense Rebranded and redesigned. The question remains and what I will address in this review, is ySense a scam or can you make money with ySense?. 

If the answer is yes...how much can you realistically expect to earn? 

Just to be crystal clear I am not associated with this company at all and you can chillax and relax as I am not going to pitch you anything nor I am going to un-justifiably start claiming and screaming that it is a scam. 

That is not how I do things here, I take an evidence fact based approach to find the truth to help you make the best decision for yourself.

ySense, founded in 2007 by by Jim Grago as ClickSense and now owned by and rebranded to ySense by Prodege, a well established internet company that dominates the rewards site area with well known sites like:

They, Prodege, have paid out to date over US$700 million in rewards. Previously, ySense was known as ClickSense, until their July 31 2019 buy out by Prodege. 

You can earn money, get rewarded (hence the name "Rewards Site") or "get paid to" complete certain tasks like taking surveys, shopping, completing offers, performing micro tasks and referring others to ySense. 

They, the parent company Prodege,  are headquartered in El Segundo, California have 100-250 employees and have a market value in the US$100M to US$500M range.

Businesses will stand and fall by how well they know their customers and client base - it is same for Kodak, Blackberry and BlockBuster and online businesses like, erm...The Globe (a social network long before, 10 years before Facebook was ever thought of) this is why and what makes market research so important. 

...and what is the driving force behind the never ending list of online surveys. Businesses simply need to know what their customers want and gain that market edge through gaining real time real life market intelligence. 

This is what helps businesses and brands to develop and improve their products and make them better as per what the customer wants or risk getting out of touch with their customers like the aforementioned companies.

In certain way, this is what drives big data too. 

As a business with access to potentially millions of people across a whole variety of demographics Market Research companies, brands and businesses pay them. ySense and Prodege,  to conduct a tailored surveys for them.

Some of that money makes its way into your pocket for your participation in their surveys...as little tahnk you are your participation if you like!.

How they make money is also by means of a branch of affiliate marketing called CPA Marketing.

For every task that you complete, ySense will earn some money, of which you will receive a portion of it for helping them to make money. It is a legitimate and perfectly legal win-win situation for both you and ySense. 

Evidently this is not actually going to be a solid and reliable way of making money as spending money is not making money.

With ySense.com you have several different ways in which you can make money. Let's detail those. 

• 1. Complete Surveys

Your profile contains demographic profiling details such as your age, location, gender and other information that is used to find out which surveys you can take. 

The surveys can be found on your personal account dashboard after you log into ySense. 

Be aware that all surveys have qualifying questions as an additional determiner to check your suitability for the market research surveys.

From time to time you will find yourself disqualified and unable to continue on with the survey. You will not be paid for participating in the qualifying questions.  

This is a good reason to be accurate and as honest as you can be with your profile information. The better a match you are for a survey the less possibility you will have for being disqualified after a few qualifying questions. 

Being disqualified is no big deal - it means nothing more than you not meeting the target audience or client for a particular company or brand and the research, data and market intelligence they would like to collect and get an insight into. 

A fine example is a survey based on alcoholic beverages - well a tea totaller like me is not going to much use to them!. 

• 2. Complete Tasks. 

On ySense these are referred to as and called Micro Tasks these are simply as the name suggests small jobs and tasks that are required to be completed. Similar dedicated sites like Amazon Mechanical Turk and Picoworkers call these Micro Jobs. 

Some of the tasks are incredibly easy such as categorising images and performing searches in Google.  

Some of the micro tasks are repetitive and can be done many times, while others are limited to just one or two times. You will be notified when you are not allowed to do certain micro tasks.  

Also, 

From time to time you will be required to undertake some kind of training before you can take a task. For those slightly more complex tasks you will be assessed and confirmed as qualified by ySense to complete the tasks. 

How much you can earn per task is like asking how long is a piece of string, it varies from task to task and depends on the difficulty level and skill required to complete it. 

As a ballpark figure expect anything from a couple of cents to a few bucks for each task completed. Incomplete tasks will not be credited. 

For every US$50 worth of tasks completed you can and will get a US$5 bonus from ySense which is a nice incentive to keep on completing micro tasks. 

There are also other incentives such as their daily checklist bonus and Weekly Contests. 

• The Daily Checklist Bonus

The Daily Checklist bonus acts as nice sweetner and "top up" to your daily micro task earnings and as a means of motivating you to stay on track and earn more money. 

The Bonuses are as follows. 

• Daily Checklist Bonus of 12%
• Activity Extra Bonus of 2%
• ySense Add on Extra Bonus of 2%.

As can be seen, you can end up with a very nice 16% on top of your earnings. 

• Tasks Weekly Contests

There are weekly contests which start every Monday with the Top 10 task workers where you can earn a bonus of US$50 for being the top tasker of the week!. Nice.

That is a total of US$100 being distributed as a bonus to the Top 10 each week. Winning are paid every Sunday night. 

There is a lot to like about ySense here is what I liked: 

• They are Accredited by the BBB and rated at a perfect A+ (at least the parent company is). 
• International love!! This is an international opportunity and not restricted to the US Only or UK like some reward sites (20 Cogs).
• You have multiple payout options. 
• You can earn some money here.

There are a whole host of alternatives to ySense as reward sites are a common way for many people, particularly high school kids and students to make some extra money or pocket money.

And dare I say some adults..beer money!.

All of these, and the countless others will still have you earning in the dollar or two per day mark, making them not really worth your while long term!. 

Nobody ever got rich or earned a full time income by using rewards sites..nobody. 

The big fault here is you are still on the hamster wheel, having to log in and complete tasks, take surveys and so on every single day to earn money. If you stop, so will your income. 

My own personal suggestion to you is to take the time and effort to learn the marketable skills like digital marketing, affiliate marketing and learn the process of making money online. 

When you can do that you have what I call the fail safe as you can: 

1. Start your own Affiliate site and earn a passive income.
2. Freelance the skills that you have learned and work when you want and from home, or from any location in the world. 
3. Use the skills to land a well paying job for any number of companies and businesses.
