Do be aware of the Walmart Mystery Shopper Scam though!.

I think you get and fully understand the basic concept of the job as a mystery shopper. There is nothing complicated to it and not something you have not done many times before. 

The Job is based on a per assignment basis. Being a large corporation Maritz has whole variety of clients. 

You might be required to go to a specific store and ask a set question of questions and see how the shop assistants respond to you. Other assignments you are just there as an everyday regular shopper. 

In some cases you are checking out a clients knowledge of a specific product, another it is how polite staff are.

In the case of restaurants, you are checking out how well the product, the food, is served and tastes and how the service is.

There are almost unlimited possibilities. 

Once your assignment has been completed you must keep the receipt as you will be refunded the cost of it. You do get to keep the goods. When you give an assignment as a mystery diner at a restaurant you are not permitted to order alcoholic beverages. 

You have to write a review of your experience and fill out some required forms relating to your assignment and send it back to the company.

Give that the work and assignments are very sporadic you are unlikely to be a full time professional mystery shopper - even if and when you are working with multiple companies. 

This is best suited for those seeking a nice extra income here and there every now and again!.

In my opinion Maritz Mystery Shopping is not a Scam. I have seen nothing at all to suggest that this is a scam. It is a regular gig that you can do should there be sufficient assignments in your area. 

This could be a nice and easy gig for you to pick up easy money. Hopefully there are a lot of assignments in your locality.
