Postal Job Source Review

Summary: A dissapointing scam for me to uncover - given my background in the industry. I'm sorry to say it but no job here!. None at all. On the plus side - you don't need an agency - just hop along to your nearest distribution centre and ask.

What Is Postal Job Source?

Once upon a time I did work in a similar field - for many years for DHL. I do have to say the name of this site Postal Job Source does sound and looks very official and pretty convincing.

I'll be honest with you, as honest as the day is long.

There is absolutely no need for you to use an employment agency at all to get a job working in the transportation or distribution industry - not with DHL or Fed Ex or UPS.

Here is the thing - neither of these companies are what you would call rivals - no, no no and no!.

You see all of the delivery guys (and the occasional gal) are self employed contractors. They are free to be contracted with whom ever - regardless of the colour or design of their delivery van be it yellow, white or brown!.

At DHL we used to see UPS guys coming in and loading up all the time and delivering for us, same with Fed Ex. In fact, some were regular and had their route with us.

Even for the warehouse staff (of which I was) for employment all you need to do is turn up at the office and ask. Being a smallish town if we knew the guy we'd hire direct, assuming there was regular work available.

In the case of not knowing the individual or only seasonal or temporary work was available we would use an agency (Manpower) but we'd send them to manpower and tell the staff there who was coming and to prepare a contract for them and for how long.

Although I don't speak for Federal express or UPS I doubt they are any different or government USPS.

Distribution is an industry where everyone kind of knows everyone. Each company only has a relatively small amount of warehouse and office staff, same goes of the delivery guys..

Despite having big named companies and businesses involved in the industry - there is not a lot of employee in each town. Small close knit industry locally speaking.

The claims of Postal Job Source to be making the process easier is just a scam and that they will somehow help you or increase your chances of getting a job just a complete barefaced lie!.

Don't take my word for it...I only worked for DHL for 7 years!.

What would I possibly know about the hiring process in the industry with leading companies!...7 years I was employed in the industry!.

How Does Postal Job Source Work?

It's a dirty scam that plays on very real peoples need to find work, employment, secure employment and in what is really a fun and enjoyable industry to work in where no two days are the same - really!.

People find it tough getting a job and feel a bit demoralised and turn to sites like this and in desperation get suckered in.

Seriously - after watching the video and with my background in the industry I have never heard a bigger pile of "equestrian excrement" than what is in this video.

This is not the hiring process at all. I did rise to a very prominent position in my delegation. We just did not care of ones background - it's an unskilled job.

In this day and age we really did not care if an an individual was new to the city and unfamiliar with the delivery route - (hello..GPS!) in some rare cases we'd send one of the (local) store men to go with them!.

The site is very vague in how they have worded thing as is the lady in the video if you listen carefully. There is no outright claim that they are associated to USPS.

And you would think that that have...I mean they hire nationwide the length and breadth of the United States. Pretty exclusive contract and a BIG hiring operation going on when you consider that there is at least one distribution centre in each Provence.

The website simply want you to believe that they are connected to USPS so that they can give you a helping hand to get a job there...and part with $49 for their registration package!.

Hey..have a look at what I found on the footer of their website..

As you can see for their own website, form the footer section that have no association at all with USPS.....

....So why and how would the be able to help you get a job there?

That really explain the vagueness of it all. In short all this web site really want is your $49 for job that you "might" (but won't) get.

Digging deeper I found a few similar sites - all very much clones!

  • postaljobssourcegc.com
  • postaljobssourcewcs.com
  • postaljobssourcerc.com
  • postaljobssourcebmd.com

This is something that is particularly strange. The only reason for doing this would be to avoid getting a poor reputation on complaints boards online. When they get a bad rep - open new site and all of a sudden clean slate!.

Strange Claims

Studying their website further I did notice some odd claims..

A+ Rating from the Better Business Rating...Who are better business rating?. A non existing organisation that they just made up themselves in an attempt to gain some kind of legitimacy.

Postal Jobs Scam

This is an almost comical attempt to lo replicate the Better Business Bureau. Digging deeper the Federal Trade Commission actually warns about scams like this.

In fact, they warn of this exact scam!

Is Postal Job Source A Scam?

In my view and going by what I have investigated and the FTC warning I can say that I am pretty sure that there is no job at USPS or any job at all going on here.

I am also pretty sure that this is a scam.

My Postal Job Source Review - The Final Conclusion

To be honest, I am actually quite disappointed to have investigated this fake job scam. Simply because I know, and my feeling here, working in distribution is actually a pretty fun job - regardless of what and where - in the office or in the warehouse or out and about delivering.

I done it all in my 7 years with DHL!.

I happy to tell you that this is a scam and to save you from it but really dissapointed that scams like this are going on at the same time. In all honesty if you want a job like this - just turn up at your distribution depot and ask. That's it!.
