Six Figure Mentors Review – A Shocking Scam? [UPDATED]

"Wow!" 

That is all I have to say about these guys and their Hollywood style all polished promotion and their videos and I just KNOW you have seen them too!!.

It is going to take a lot more than fancy videos and a well polished marketing campaign to convince me.

I look at a hard facts, cold hard facts when I review something, not fancy and rather convincing razzmatazz!. 

A quick word - This is an independent review, meaning it is not my purpose to sing praises about their training from the roof tops and hope for a commission of some kind as I am not affiliated with the company in any way at all.

Before I get started I congratulate you for being smart and on the ball by doing your research - this is how you stay safe, avoid scams and find the very best way of making money online. 

Some people are quick out of the blocks to denounce Six Figure Mentors as A Pyramid Scheme or some kind of scam - let's find out if that is true!

Six Figure Mentors, founded way back in 2011 by Stuart Ross and Jay Kubassek is an internet marketing training platform offering step by step training and a variety of tools and resources to help their members change their lives by earning a significant sum of money online. 

With an Annual Revenue of US$4.3M per year these guys certainly know how to make money!. 

Their aim is to help their members to live the "Laptop Lifestyle" and create and live life on their own terms. 

The Ethos and core value of Six Figure Mentors is to shift the focus of where your financial security exists, for most this is in the hands of an employer, the financial well being of that business and the current economic climate. 

Rather than work for a business when you can, thanks to the training given, build a business that works for you. 

All good sound bites, and good ear candy, but to frank - pretty much all high end products say the same thing about their training platform. 

What you are provided with inside the members area are a lot of very useful resources most of which can be described as "DFY - Done For You" Solutions. 

Including: 

• Sales Funnels 
• Sales Pages
• Tracking Stats
• Link Generator
• Banners

All of which are fully customizable. This is something that I call very "Vanilla-Marmite". 

• Vanilla - Nothing original, bland and just about everyone is doing the same thing. 
• Marmite - An acquired taste, opinions vary, some love it others really dislike it. 

My own view on this "done for you" is that they are good for newbies that are all excited to get started, but, the big draw back - you are not learning anything, not learning the skill of building a landing page, or writing a sales page that converts or the construction of a sales funnel. 

It's like riding a bicycle, at some point you need to take off the training wheels. 

So, be careful of done for you system - no matter how good or authentic they are, and there are some good Done For You Systems Such as Inbox Blueprint 2.0 and Online Sales Pro.

The focus of the training here is on high impact money producing activities. It is at this level that you become qualified to earn the highest commissions when promoting Six Figure Mentors:

The Digital Experts Academy

Six Figure Mentors does not end at the elite membership, they smoothly transition you into their other high ticket program, Digital Experts Academy. 

There are 4 Digital Experts Academy Membership levels:

• Digital Experts Academy Gold Membership: $8,000
• Digital Experts Academy Platinum Membership: $11,000

As you can see that there is a strong focus through out the whole Six Figure Mentors is for you keep on upgrading, all the way up to spending over US$20,000.

What is very surprising is even though you do have the right to sell the product but commissions are very tight for Digital Experts at a mere 5% to 10% commission. 

While I am not knocking the possibility of selling high ticket items these are digital products and have little cost to the product owners, besides the commission for selling Six Figure Mentors Elite works out at 40% - why just 5% to 10% for Digital Experts Academy?

No, 

There is no listing at all on the Better Business Bureau For The Six Figure Mentors.

Despite being an online business they should still register with the BBB if they are based stateside and selling products and live events to the public in my opinion. 

There are quite a lot of complaints about Six Figure Mentors, mostly seem to be focused around the high pressure sales tactics once joining. 

A few members have complained that a lot of psychological triggers are used to make a member feel like they are missing out by not upgrading. 

It does seem like once you join you walked through a very well polished sales funnel to get a lot of money out of you. 

Some experienced and semi experienced marketers commented that there were not so much going on in terms of quality in the lower end products but do get really good once you start opening your wallet!.

As you can see this, when you add it all up is quite an expensive training product. 

There are some good points to Six Figure Mentor, let's talk about those for a minute. 

The Training Is Very Holistic

Us Brits and Europeans would call this "very American" or Americanised with all the "mind set mumbo jumbo" but in truth and reality it is the most important part to your success online. 

In fact, it is your key to any success in any sphere on or off line. 

The Training Is Good

This part I am not going to deny, the training inside six figure mentors is of quality. 

Live Weekly And Monthly Webinars. 

This I did like. Live weekly webinars in a fast changing industry is important to keep you abreast of any changes. 

There were some aspects of Six Figure Mentors that I did not like. 

Very Pushy On The Upgrade!

While I totally understand that sales and paying customers are the life blood of all businesses SFM could do with turning it down a notch or two. 

Far Too Expensive!

The amount asked for and in relation to what it taught is far too expensive. $2,500 for the elite membership and then DEA take over form there all the way up to US$20,000!. 

My dear friends, 

I learned everything for $359 Yearly membership and that included all the tools I needed!. No a penny more to spend!. 

Their Affiliate Program Is Pay To Play!

It is always ugly when I see this, you should never ever have to pay to promote a product. This is the essence behind the right to promote a product only if you first buy it. Ugly and unethical!.

A company called MOBE got shut down for that!. 

Yes you can. 

I do believe that you can indeed make money with Six Figure Mentors, but only if you get the better training which is going to cost you over $2,500.

It is at this level you get taught some really good training that you can take and apply to promote any products and not only Six Figure Mentors. 

There are some elements to Six Figure Mentors that do appear to be a bit scammy, particularly the way in which you are placed in a sales funnel and just given the hard sell particularly when you first join. 

All of the training up until you are at the very high end is to lead to to get and buy the next program, often very subtle at times just straight up hard sell (particularly at the start).

This is not to say they are a scam, just shall we say not very nice! 

Also the "pay to play" aspect is scammy too. 

But, I will admit six figure mentors is not scam - in the official and legal sense. 

Six figure mentors do provide you with a legitimate product and some quality digital marketing training thus I cannot out right say that theses guys are scammers, opinions vary and you do get what you pay for. 

Some will swear blind that it's well worth the money, every penny spent, I however, do not think that they are worth the price being asked for, to say not providing value. 

Like I mentioned earlier in this review having everything done for you is not teaching you the skill set. It is akin to cutting of your nose in spite of your face. I do understand that some of reading this need money NOW!. 

I totally get that. 

But you are far better taking the time and effort to master the skill and then you can build a business in any industry promoting any product you wish using any business model. 

Straight from the heart, I personally advise you to learn the skills needed. While you are developing those skills you can freelance on Fiverr or Upwork and build sales funnels and landing pages for other people while you build and grow your own business!.
