I'm not sure if this would actually work..it might be possible that you can go shopping using another app like Ebates or Dosh app and get cash back there and then earn some coins on Receipt hog for sending in a photo of your receipt.

Ain't no money honey! earning potential is low - in actual fact you're not really earning money as you need to first spend it. So from this aspect it is not a source of income as such. 

The company require that you remain active to keep your coins or status. If you have not scanned a receipt for 3 month you can find your account deleted or frozen. 

It would have great if this company had a referral program but sadly no bonus for referring friends!

Receipt hog is 100% legit company and is in the business of market research and has quite a brilliant way of crowd sourcing a massive amount of data!. 

No, Receipt hog is not a scam. Not at all. They are a genuine company business and yes they do pay you out when you reach the payout threshold.

Being completely honest with you. You will not make money with Receipt hog. Simply because it is a cashback points program sort of thing. You have to first spend your money to get the receipt and then scan it and get pennies back...

It definitely something that you should consider using though. Nothing wrong with saving a pretty penny!. 

But a handsome income you will not make...you need to try something else. 

Give it a go and get earning some cash back on your purchases by saving your receipts and giving them a quick photo and using the app.
