Now Lifestyle Review – Scam Or Legit [REVEALED]

Now Lifestyle is a MLM network marketing opportunity by Joel Therien with a central focus on health, wellness and fitness. 

The product range of the company include supplements, workout programs and weight loss products.

And being a business opportunity using the Multilevel marketing business model the also, rather smartly have a range of tools to help you make money leveraging the internet. 

But there is still something fishy about that...

No physical products and mostly a service, such a the 7 minute work out - digitally accessible, and GVO which is a hosting service, in reality reseller hosting and no actual location required (he rents the servers and doesn't actually own them).

The only Issue I have there is that he claims to own a data centre..

Right there in bold he is claiming to actually own his own data centre. A little white lie - note the location "San Antonio Texas" 

Now that does look pretty familiar right?

Now the location is Schertz, Texas. A different location. 

What about his other famed business like Pure Leverage?

Yes, the very same office. 

Exactly the same, no change over the years. Even the tree has not grown!. I very much think that this is a stock image and a little bit of photo shopping the company logo going on. 

Although a little white lie does no harm. It does question the credibility of an individual after all, he has already lied.

Makes me wonder now, serial entrepreneur or serial scammer!.

On his own website, Joel Therien, claims to be a MD and Cardiac and Pulmonary rehabilitation specialist, a career he began right out of university and quit 8 months later. 

I'm not sure about the laws and system in Canada, but I am pretty sure that right out of University he would be doing a few years as a Junior Doctor before fully specialising. I do stand to be corrected here. 

Also, no mention of this on his linked in profile, or Facebook or anywhere else online other than is own personal website or the use of the official title of Dr Joel Therien, MD.

MLM opportunities are notoriously difficult to succeed with regardless of which opportunity and company. 

Mostly, this is due to a lack of training and not teaching you the key skills that you need to succeed online and earn a passive income.

By both law and common business practice all multilevel marketing programs must have a product to back them up. Otherwise it is really just a Pyramid Scheme?

Now Lifestyle has 3 principle product categories: 

• Nutritional health supplements
• Business Automation Tools
• Their "Now Body" Membership Program

Let's detail those products. 

Nutritional Health Supplements

Now Lifestyle has a range of health supplements that include whey protein powders that come in  two of flavours such as Dutch Chocolate and  Natural Vanilla.

The Whey protein powder is enhanced with L glutamine, and designed to enhance amino acid absorption. 

The supplement line also includes energy capsules which are designed to help you have optimal energy for work outs and thyroid function. They contain Vitamins, minerals, amino acids for your health. 

The eliminate supplement is aimed for prime gastro-intestinal health and to help your body to expel harmful toxins, it is very much a detox supplement. 

Their "Now Body" Membership Program

This is quite the product giving you access to 800+ workout videos that were produced by Joel himself. 

With your membership you get to create a "fit profile".

To create this special profile you have to answer a series of questions regarding your fitness goals, health, weight loss and what kind of equipment that you can use.  

The free membership level gives you your first 10 day personalised training routine. You can also track your daily food consumption on a weekly basis.

If you want access to your complete personalised training routine you will need to upgrade, which is $24.97 every month and can be accessed by up to 5 of your family members. 

Is The "Now Body" Membership Program Legit?

This is not something that I am qualified to comment on as I am not a Doctor or a health expert. Thus I can't say so based on my background. 

It does look good and I can see how it could work. Good diet, tracking your consumption creating awareness of eating habits, regular working out burning calories. 

This itself is what all good diet and workout programs are about. It's not rocket science. Eat healthily, burn more calories than you will consume. - The whole diet and weight loss industry in a nutshell!. 

Business Automation Tools

Mixed in with the other products in this program are a tools for digital marketing. That might sound odd - but the owner does run his own MLM program focused around this kind of product. 

Also,

Having automatic tool is an incentive for people to join in MLM programs and can help his distributors to succeed - he gets a two fold win there, a win-win. 

One of those tools is something that all marketers really do need - an auto responder. 

An auto responder tool is a piece of software that both aids you in collecting email addresses online through capture forms and sends out a series of prewritten emails to prospective clients helping you to generate more revenue. 

I can't say if their auto responder is good or not as I have not used it. The free member level allows you to add just 10 subscribers, paid member you can add up to 5,000. 

Sidenote: Mailchimp, is an auto responder service allows you to add 1,000 subscribers before you need to pay for it. 

Another tool that goes pretty much together with the auto responder is the lead capture program.

It is a tool that comes with some pre-made "landing pages" - pages that you send traffic to, and you then integrate it with your auto responder and start collecting those emails. 

The final tool the template builder, which helps you to make your own custom designed capture pages. 

Total cost is $24.97/month which is actually a good deal for what you are getting. 

Given that this is a MLM program it means that you can make money by selling their products and by recruiting others into the business opportunity. 

The general concept here is that you build out a business using their products yourself and creating a "lifestyle business". 

Compensation plans can be difficult to both understand and explain at the best of times. I'll do my best to explain their compensation plan so that you do understand how it works 

Reseller

When you become a reseller you have the right to sell and promote Now Lifestyle products and have access to their reseller tools to help you. 

The reseller tools are standard marketing tools including banner ads, capture pages and pre-written email messages to name a few. 

The cost of becoming a reseller is $24.97 every month, but the products that you wish to promote you must first buy. 

However, 

If you do a little maths you will see the real cost is $74.91 per month.

How To Make Money With Now Lifestyle

With now lifestyle there are 3 principle way in which you can generate revenue for your business. 

Direct Sales Commissions

These are as they sound, direct sales made from selling Now Lifestyle products, Your Commission is 50%. These are sales made through your affiliate link. 

Matching Bonuses

Whatever the amount that your own direct referrals get in a given month you will get a 50% commission on that. 

For example, if your direct recruit brought in 30 recruits in the month, with each of them paying $50 membership fee you earn $50 x 30 /50% = $1500/50% = $750 as a matching bonus for the month 

Binary Commissions

Now lifestyle operate their multilevel marketing program using the popular Binary Compensation model. 

On the binary model the affiliate is placed at the top of their own downline with a maximum of 2 people below them and continues like this. 

The you have what they call a, you have probably heard the terms used many times "left leg" and "right leg" system and continues to infinity. 

All the resellers that you bring to the program, and the ones that they recruit will be placed on either the right or left leg of your downline.

For you to qualify for the binary commisisons compensation plan you will have to bring in two new referrals every month - one for each leg and continue until you have at least 6 and then maintain a minimum of 6 referrals in your personal downlines. 

Also, you will need to continue paying your $24.95 monthly fee for the use of your marketing tools. 

Now lifestyle is not rated on the better business bureau website nor accredited, however the parent company GVO has a B- rating. 

Do note that this has no relation to Now Lifestyle other that it is the rating for the parent organisation. 

The Pros

What I Liked About Now Lifestyle: 

• Free to get started
• Good compensation plan
• Good quality products
• They give you tools to help you with the marketing side of MLM

The Cons

What I didn't like about Now lifestyle:

• Unable to find any real verifiable background info about the owner
• Address is questionable and looks like a standard photoshop job used in all of his businesses. 
• Marketing tools, although a great idea are a bit restrictive and limited. 
• No legally obliged income statement posted on the website.

Well, 

An income statement here would help me to say definitively if you can or cant and actually prove and back up what I say with actual facts. 

A legal obligation for all MLM opportunities is to have an income disclosure statement on their website. I couldn't find one, because currently, they don't have one. 

Not supposed to be hidden away either!.

All I can say is that yes, technically you can indeed make money with Now lifestyle and they do rather handily provide you with digital marketing resources and materials to help you. 

However,

most people, statistically speaking across all network marketing opportunities, 98.5% fail to earn a full time income. Mostly this is due to inexperience, lack of knowledge and being left on their own by the company and their sponsor. 

No, in my opinion and view after investigating the company and the sister organisations I don't think there is a scam going on. 

They have genuine products that are well reviewed and are using the network marketing business model - not something I am so keen on. 

But I can say this company is not a scam. 

I'd like to find some answers in regards to their apparent HQ given the remarkable similarities to all the other businesses.

My only thought are his products are drop shipped and he actually does not need a physical location as it is. 

Yes, very much so. It is still a relatively young company and only running for a few years now (since 2017). 

I have not found any illegal or illigitimate goings on. 

No, Now Lifestyle is not a pyramid scheme. They have a range of different products from health supplements to memberships to marketing tools to back up their business opportunity and thus cannot be considered as a Pyramid scheme.

Also, at the pricing structure and range their products should not be so difficult to sell.

Yes, The Now Lifestyle business opportunity is a MLM network marketing program. They use the Binary Commissions structure as their compensation plan. 

The now lifestyle business opportunity has great products and is very well priced. It also come with great commission structure and marketing tools. 

But no matter how great it may appear to be I am not recommending it to you. 

This has nothing to do with the company at all. The opportunity is in the health and wellness industry. 

In August 2018 Google smacked all health sites - no matter how well established or famous with what became known in the industry as the "google medic update".

All health sites that are run by non professionals in the industry now find it difficult to rank in search engines and get free organic traffic. 

There is no doubt about it in my mind that social media will follow suit (if it has not already) and cut the the reach of pages/accounts run by non-health professionals promoting health and wellness products. 

Your only option left is paid traffic. Which can get expensive and can get pretty complicated.
