Is Survey Compare A Scam? [Honest Review]

Survey Compare, founded in 2009 is a well established site that is but isn't a survey site - I'll explain later...bare with me!

The site is owned and run by Marketing VF Ltd who are listed as an internet publishing & marketing agency that specialise in lead generation.

Marketing VF are a legitimate company with accounts filed and a list of Directors and are registered with Companies House and recent accounts indicate a US$15 million per year business.  

They also run EDUCompare and rated by the UK National newspaper, The Sunday Times as one of the top 5 companies to work for.

Survey Compare as the name suggests functions like a survey comparison site comparing the various individual surveys sites on the internet with their earnings, time taken to complete surveys and minimum payout. providing you with all the data you need at a glance. 

Then, if you wish you can then decide to take surveys with that company or not. The idea is actually pretty simple and pretty good.

They are an affiliate site and thus their business model and how they make money is from affiliate marketing. 

Your first step with Survey Compare is to join and set up an account with them. 

Getting Started With Survey Compare

Getting started with survey compare is very simple you just create an account with the company entering your gender and your date of birth and enter your email address. 

You will then receive a welcome email where you will need to confirm your email address. 

The next step for you to take is to complete your profile set up with survey companies that are of your liking and meet your requirements. 

After this you have the rigmarole of completing their screening process which is to determine your eligibility for surveys based on your demographic.  

This is the tedious, laborious and annoying thing about survey sites and can take you anything from 20 min to half an hour. Some of the questions can get very personal. 

This is actually something that the genuine survey companies need to do to get the right surveys to the right people based on their clients target audience. 

Who Is Survey Compare For?

Survey Compare is particularly aimed for one group of people, those who want to make money online in an nice easy effortless way and don't want to spend time searching for various surveys online.

Making money with survey compare is very simple and straight forward. You sign up, join and take surveys and earn cash in exchange for your opinion. 

There is nothing more to it than that.

How Much Money Can You Earn With This Site?

The amount that you can earn with Survey Compare is absolutely zero. You do not earn money with Survey compare - they have no surveys on offer. You earn money because of them - from their partner sites. 

Your earnings, even if taking multiple surveys from many different sites will still not add up to anything worth while.

There is not a single survey site that pays any of its users a significant income at all. None, not even one. Any survey site claiming huge income or large amounts per survey is just plain old BS!.

Most will earn you only in the US$30 to US$60 figure - regardless of where you are in the world that is not going to get your far!.

How Does Survey Compare Pay You?

Actually they don't pay you at all!. 

Since you are taking the surveys from a number of different sites you will be paid by and from a number of different sites and in a number of different way and with a number of different minimum payout threshold. 

That means you have to manage your time and effort across a number of different survey sites.

uggh! 

I though the point of Survey Compare was that of convenience!. 

Common Ways in which you can be paid by well known survey sites. 

• Paypal
• Gift cards. 
• Bank Transfer
• Check

Evidently this is not going to be a solid and reliable way of making money on a sustainable basis.

By checking a company out I can get to see how they conduct business in a professional and legal manner which gives a basis of how much we can trust a company.

Survey Compare are not listed at all in the BBB database, I was not expecting them to be since they are a British company. 

The question does arise should a company need to register with authorities for every country in which they conduct business?. 

This is something that we have not dealt with (yet) in the digital age. 

I did find a few complaints about Survey Compare and rather surprising for what is a site that connects you to a number of other survey sites the main complaint was...

A lack of surveys!. 

I find that rather ironic!.

Well, I wouldn't call Survey Compare dangerous in any way at all. But, despite claims by the site that they will not distribute your details, it turns out that they actually will do just that.

In the first part of their privacy policy they tell you that they won't do such a thing, while later when you read through it you find that they will do that. 

This is actually what I expected to happen when I discovered that they are owned by a Marketing company that are specialised in lead generation. 

The site generates revenue not only as an affiliate for the survey sites they will email you various offers unless you "opt out".

I found no way of being able to opt out on their site. When you sign in you automatically opt into to their email list. 

There are some good points to Survey Compare which were as follows: 

• It is free to join. 
• Save you time in finding survey sites that pay out. 
• They do appear to be an honest site

There were some thing that I did not like about Survey Compare, namely..

• Low, very low income opportunity
• They don't actually have their own surveys
• You will probably be hit with a ton of spam emails from them.

No, 

You cannot make money at all with Survey Compare. It is possible for you to make money because of Survey Compare, but in reality the amount is pretty low in the one dollar to two dollar a day region. 

Is Survey Compare A Scam? 

I would n't say so. They are not a Survey site, I wouldn't go as far as calling them a fake survey site either - simply put they are an affiliate site for survey sites. There is nothing scammy or illegal about that at all.

What is a bit of scam is the way they will take your email and hit you with offers for various products.

Survey sites at the best of time with or without someone promoting them to you are huge waste of time!. 

I am just so dang sure that you don't want to be slaving away at your computer for 50 cents and hour or so!. 

By far the greatest thing you can do for yourself and your future is to give some serious though to learning the marketing skills. That is where the money is at and what separates success from failure. 

The skills, real world, real life skills that you can use to drive people to your site, or somebody else's site and earn money.
