Is OpinionSite A Scam Or Legit – A 100% Honest Review

Everyone has an opinion about something, or to be more correct about many different things so how cool would it be to get paid and earn a few extra bucks for giving your open and honest opinion by answering some surveys and questionnaires?

That is exactly what is on offer with online survey sites like this one, the opportunity to earn an extra income and earn some money online by being one of their survey takers. 

As a quick spoiler alert, and to answer that question posted above is OpinionSite A Scam? I'll tell you straight up that no, they are not a scam, they are the legitimate.

They are a survey site with a slight difference and only one of a few survey sites that are dedicated to healthcare professionals and consumers. 

In this independent review I'll walk you through the registration process, and detail the site in a fashion aimed to help you to make the best decision about the OpinionSite.com and if you should continue or not in your pursuit with them.

OpinionSite (OpinionSite.com), founded in 1999 and operated by Universal Survey, an company that operates a number of market research and survey sites. 

They offer you the opportunity to earn an extra income by completing their surveys.  

They have two different survey panels that you can sign up for, one of which is their panel for healthcare professionals, the other is their consumer panel and is the most popular one and easiest to join. 

I'll talk more about those later, first let's talk about how Opinion Site works and who they are for. 

In this part I like to take a look at a site and see how they function as a business. If they have a business model where it is difficult for them to earn money with then, by all means I would not expect them to have the finance to be able to pay you.

Like wise, if they were unable to pay you what they claim it would show in their business model. 

Opinion Site, functions as I expected them to, using the agency business model where they are effectively speaking are paid by their clients to design, conduct and collate surveys for them. 

Your job in all of this is help them to fullfill their objective to their clients and take part in their surveys. 

Who Is OpinionSite For?

Although it states on their site that they are open to anyone to participate, this not 100% correct.

They are not an international opportunity as they are, unfortunately or not, open only to residents in the United States Of America. 

Let's get on with their Registration Process. Here you have two options, Join as a Healthcare Professional or as a consumer. 

On their homepage click the white Register button which is located under the headings "I am a Healthcare Professional" and "I am a Consumer" 

Clicking the link will take you to a bridge page where you have to click to accept their terms and conditions and privacy policy. You will then move to the registration page. 

Fill in the registration form. When this is complete you will get a confirmation email with a link in for you to click.

You have only one way of earning with OpinionSite which is by completing their paid surveys.

When you have completed your registration and can login to the members' area you will see what surveys they have on offer for you to complete. 

To earn you will need to click one of the surveys and complete all the questions that you see. 

You must read the questions carefully as they sneakily have questions that check if you have been scanning their surveys and clicking answers randomly. 

So, don't try to cheat them!. 

You can see how many points you can earn and when the survey expires before you get started, which gives you that heads up and the option of starting out with the ones that pay the best first. 

You will need to take a pre-qualifying survey first before you get to the survey that pays you. Unfortunately, you will find that yourself disqualified for some surveys. That is just the way surveys go as you need to meet a certain demographic for the each surveys. 

I guess this is the big question that is on your mind, and here in this section I'll give you the answer to that. 

Like all survey sites how much you can earn is going to depend full on the effort that you put in and the value of each survey that you take. 

It is likely that you will only get 1 or 2 survey invitations every week or 10 per month at most. 

This a very normal figure for pretty much all survey sites. Feedback I have found say that you will not be disqualified from that many sites and you will qualify for the majority of them.

To give you a dollar amount and only as an estimation I can say that you can earn around US$10 per month which, is ok as the minimum cashout amount is US$10. 

This is something that you need to know!, obviously!

You will want to know you can translate those numbers on a screen to something more tangible.  

Opinion Site, like many sites of this nature use a points system where once you get 14,000 points which is currently US$10 you can cash out and get your reward. 

You can exchange your points for electronic gift cards or a tango gift card. If cash is what you want and need you will need to request a check which will be sent to your home address. 

Their gift card options include iTunes, Best Buy, Amazon and many more. The advantage of gift cards is you will get you reward quicker, unlike cash where you will be waiting a while for your check to be sent to your home and then the amount of time it takes for it to clear at your bank. 

It is clearly stated on their site that cashing out can take from 2 weeks to 8 weeks depending on which option you have chosen. 

They also say on their site that depending on which reward you requested, it may take as quick as 2 weeks or as long as 6 to 8 week. 

The only exception to this is the Tango gift card option, which you will receive instantly. 

I have not been able to find any income proof related to OpinionSite at all, despite check and searching forums, social media, google and YouTube. 

It is uncommon for survey sites to post income proof, mostly I suspect due to being a low income opportunity. 

I encourage you and all my readers to be safe online and part of that is to be vigilant and do your background checks. 

That is how you stay safe online. 

Unfortunately I have not seen a listing for OpinionSite on the Better Business Bureau website making them Unlisted, unaccredited and not rated.

There are a few things that I did like about this opportunity which were:

• They are free to join. 
• They are a specialized survey for the healthcare community
• You can earn money with them. 
• They have good cashout options. 

There are some things that I did not like about OpinionSite which were:

• No PayPal option for getting paid.
• They are not accredited by the BBB
• There is a distinct lack of key information.
• They take too long to pay out.
• There is a lack of survey invitations
• They are low income opportunity. 

Yes,

without a doubt you can make money with OpinionSite, but it is not going to take you a long time to get your rewards, and it is not likely to be at all that much. 

All you will be earning is a small side line income. 

I have not been able to uncover any evidence at all that would connect OpinionSite to acts of fraud, deception or any other illegal activity that would connect them to being a scam. 

It is fair to say that OpinionSite is not a scam.

OpinionSite is a legitimate survey site that you can participate in should you so wish to but it is not one that I would advise you to be taking part in or focusing your attention on due to the low income that will be earned.

Personally I love good, nice, easy ways of earning money - and surveys fit that bill perfectly well except you will not earn that much money which is why I really don't take to them at all that well - low earning for what ends up taking up a lot of your time to earn it. 

2 bucks and hour on average for the best sites is not what I am about to suggest or recommend to anyone at all. 

Thankfully there are much better options available to you online.
