Is Microsoft (Bing) Rewards Worth it? [REVIEW]

In all essence the Microsoft Rewards program was created in  "Battle of the search engines" to get more internet users to switch from Google to using Bing. 

A little like the "cola wars" but in the digital age. 

As Microsoft Rewards, the renaming or rebranding of the product more ways of earning credits were introduced. You can now earn when you browse the internet (using their browser and search engine of course!), shop, and take part in some quizes. 

Like I mentioned above, Microsoft Rewards program is a loyalty program that in all essence pays you to search the web using their search engine - Bing. 

Any browser is ok to use (even Chrome!) there is an additional benefit  (extra points) if you use Microsoft Edge, more on that later. 

You will be paid in a points based system where one point is worth a fraction of one cent, currently 10 points = 1 cent or for easier calculation 1000 points = $1 USD

For every search that you perform you can earn 5 points. At this juncture it is important to point out that there are two points levels. Level 1, where everyone starts. And Level 2. 

Level 2 is obtained when you achieve 500 points in a given calendar month. Worth noting that this will take 10 days to achieve as you are limited to 50 points per day as a level 1 member. 

Level 2 permits you to earn up to 250 points per day. That is a whopping 7,500 points per month or a huge $7.50 per month, (seriously I hope you are detecting my sarcasm here!). 

Evidently this is not actually going to be a solid and reliable way of making money as spending money is not making money.

As mentioned before, Level 2 come at a maximum of 250 points per day for searches on Bing. = 7,500 Points ($7.50). 

Add to this 150 points (15 cents) for switching browser and using Microsoft Edge and 50 point per day max for the completion of offers - 1,500 point per month ($1.50). 

Bring us to a grand total of $7.50 + $1.50 + $0.15 = $9.15. 

Don't spend it all in the one shop!. Really not an amount worth mentioning. Sorry Mr Gates, you really want to bribe me to use your services you need to up you up your game!. 

Sure you can redeem your rewards points for gift cards or use them in starbucks or amazon or even donate them to charity. That last part probably the best option given the paltry amount - ohh wow a cup of coffee every other week!!. Thank you Microsoft Rewards!.

Absolutely, Microsoft Rewards is 100% legit. It pays next to nothing, but none the less it is a legit program. 

It is barely worth your while. I don't know anyone so hard up and desperate that they need to use Bing and Microsoft edge to earn less than $10 a month.
